Hello guys, just finished up my CR-01 this weekend and I was looking for some folks to get together and crawl with. Do you guys still get together at UTEP on Saturdays or know anywhere people might gather and crawl at. I have a great place just a 5min walk from my house on the westside. It's part of the Franklin Mountains State Park. Below is a pic of my new ride and it will give you an idea of the area I'm talking about. Enjoy...   |

That looks like an awesome place! I always figured there had to be some great terrain out there in the Franklin Mtns.

i could make it late saturday afternoon, or sunday.....i live like 3 blocks from utep and i don't mind driving down to where you're at to crawl a little... i think i may be able to get one more guy out there to crawl as well....! let me know i have been wanting to see other crawlers here in town!

well sunday was a blast! Even though it was just me and Ray (who has a helluva crawler!) we wheeled for about 3 1/2 hours.....Another buddy of mine showed up and used my crawler a little bit and i think he was bit by the bug. Carnage Report: 1 of rays links pulled out from the rod end. 1 of my POS plastic links was bending and binding up drive lines, and my front driveshaft fell apart. All were easy fixes. I will be out there again on sunday with out a doubt, hopefully with more weight in the front tires, and new links.... i learned a lot from Ray and i hope that more heads start showing up out there...... |
