We are going to be meeting at Big Mikes hobbies and Toys (our LHS) The address is 1617 Pine Tree Road Longview, TX 75604. I figured we would meet there in the morning about 8:30 and leave from there and go to our scaling spot 10 min drive from there. The hobby shop will not be open till 10am but at least you will know where it is if you want to visit after we are done scaling for the day. He closes at 4pm. Here is a Link for direction, http://mapq.st/o9apDA , There are 3 different routes you can take coming from Tyler area. There is Not much shade out where we are going so if you want to bring a canopy you can. As far as the terrain, it is mostly washouts and hills, a few rocks here and there. Any question feel free to ask Or you can call me Paul 903-241-0571 Last edited by paulwf150; 08-31-2011 at 03:10 PM. |

I just got back from Big Mikes. Well, I did about an hour ago... Got me a new battery. So, if all goes well, and I can get a ride there, I will be there this weekend. |

I'm not sure if Gavin and I can make it this weekend. I have to get Gavin's XR-10 and David H's Berg running for the comp on September 10th. Both my kids have been sick this week as well with Gavin missing school Monday. I also have to work on our MRC and get it ready for the comp.

Bummer on you not being able to make it, I really wanted to see how those Cobras do on this terrain. Maybe you will make it another time. | |

*Edit* Nevermind. I got the problem figured out. Like an idiot, I have been plugging the wires in wrong. I didnt know they only went in one direction... Derp! I now know, I need to get a Traxxas LINK to put in my Honcho. I did a test run, and it drove perfectly. It drove a pretty good distance and didnt even cut out on me. I also need to learn how to program this dang traxxas control. LoL! Last edited by TexasRedneck; 09-04-2011 at 01:37 PM. |
