Default GCRCRC 2011/12 Comp # 6 - 04/01/2012 (now with a FREE PRIZE)
GCRCRC 2011/12 Season Comp #6 will be held on April 1st at the following location:
GCRCRC/GCRC Comp Course - Google Maps

This will be the the first comp on our freshly built comp course!

We will be running the following classes:
2.2 Pro
2.2 Sport
1.9 Pro
and possibly Supers

We plan to get started at around 9am.

Also, dont forget, for non-members who are competing, there is a $10/day fee for the use of the facility. This is a rate set by the Airplane club, not GCRCRC...

Ok, I plan to offer something FOR FREE to those folks who attend this next comp.

I recently made a set of limiting straps for my scaler and I have plenty of leftover material so I thought I'd offer them to you guys for your scalers. They are made from nylon strap and are crimped and CA glued to an electrical connector. When they are dry, I cant pull them apart so, while they certainly aren't indestructible, they are quite strong. I dont know the long term durability of these things, but I cant see why they would degrade much over time.

Here is a picture of a half finished strap (I just need to cut and install the other end) and a picture of one installed on my scaler. I only have red straps and I can install either black or red heat shrink over the metal connector if you wish.

(sorry for this crappy picture, I took it with my phone and didnt have much light on in that room)




If you guys are interested, just let me know how many you need and what the eye to eye length should be and if you want the ends shrinked and I'll have them ready for you at the comp.

Ahh.......gotcha. I'll make sure they fit the tow hook on the back of the sammy....
