i was woundering if any one was going to the course this weekend or going somewhere to crawl... i would like to tag along and start to learn the ropes.... taking a break from raceing this week and would love to drive the new comp crawler and get some tips and ideads

Guys, I got a frame built for me that after some mock up found need some modification. including cutting and welding. I'm on a super tight budget and want to avoid paying shipping to have it fixed. Can anyone help me out? I live in North Houston near Spring. Here's my build. I know, I know... Another Hilux

You need to be using a larger radius die for that type of tube...or pack it full of sand before you bend it.

There is a spot we used to run at that might be good for scalers. It's listed as Pine Ridge on there. But, we havent been out there in quite a while, so I am not sure of it's condition.

This weekend is tied up with the drunken idiocy that is my birthday party and some last minute family crap, but I've been meaning to go down to Spring Creek on Riley Fuzzell to play on the anti-erosion rocks. It might be a bit much for the kids' Trail Trekkers, but my Wraith, Creeper, or either of the SCXs should be able to pull it off. Anyone want to give that place a shot one of these weekends?

We used to hold some of our comps there about 2 years ago but they closed down, I didn't think anyone was still allowed back there. If you are still able to get back there and run your rc's legally let us know I'm sure everyone would love to comp out there again.

There is also the railroad bridge in new Caney. i was of there about 3 weeks ago and the rock is still clear of weeds.

If you call Terry at Larrys he could tell you if its any good. They have a group that goes out....... If you know where Timberlake sub is there are bike trails all back there. And a few great places with rocks as well. I'm back there a lot

I need to go down there and hang out with Terry. Haven't seen him since summer vacation started. My kids try to destroy the shop when I haul them in with me. A friend of mine lives in Timberlakes or Timber Ridge, same area, but I haven't been over there in years.

Timberlane..... Trails are in great shape.. rode today ... Found some new spots that looked good for scale and crawling
