| Where to wheel in Houston.
I'm from Corpus but am in Houston for a few days. Hoping someone can point me to some good trails to take my crawlers on. I tried joining the FB group, but my request hasn't been approved yet. Ive been to the place in Deer Park. Looking for something a little different. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |

Lol a little late now. I did end up getting into the Houston crawlers Facebook group. Kinda disappointed. I only got a few places. 2 parks and an indoor course at a hobby a shop. I chose what looked like the most promising park, that had a creek running through it. The available area was pretty small, and not too exciting. I was hoping to find some trails, that I could spend a few hours exploring. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |

Sorry, I dont get on here all that often these days. If you are in the center of town, the Mountain Bike trails at Memorial Park are great for scalers, although, they can be rather hot during the summer. There are, I'd guess, around 20 miles of trails out there.

There's an RC Crawl area at a park in Deer Park, on College Park Dr. That road is only about 1/2 mile long, and the park is right on the road, you can't miss it. No parking lot, park on road.

Lol I guess you didn't read my original post. I mentioned that I've been to the Deer Park course. But was looking for something better. Imho the Deer Park course gets pretty boring after you figure out what you can and can't conquer. But anyway, I was only in Houston for a few days. Now I'm back home where the crawling scene is active, and the wheeling spots are more entertaining. I really did expect a better response from a city as big as Houston. Even their Facebook group was a letdown. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |

Next time you're planning to come into town, a bit of a heads up for folks would be helpful...instead of expecting an immediate response. | |

I live in the Tomball area, which is just north of Houston. Houston is flat as f*** and hardly any natural rock formations, if any. But that doesn't mean there's not plenty of places to go and have fun. We like to hit up any park near one of the many bayous the Houston area, they will have variations in terrain. Most of them have mountain bike trails. If it's rocks you're looking for, many of the bayous and bridges have rocks built up to stop erosion thay can be fun. |

Hi guys, I'm back to give crawling a second try. Mostly going to hang around my back yard 1.9 course and build a rock table for the garage. But will also lurk this thread to see what's happening on the H-town scene. arnieH Last edited by arnieH; 09-03-2016 at 03:13 PM. |
