Default Foams + BBs in tires??

Hi guys! Anybody run both? I am running cut Clod/TXT tires with no foams or BBs right now. I know that I want to try running foams in the tires, because mine seem to "bag up" too much. Sometimes they get so wrapped around the rocks that they wedge themselves into holes. I want to run BBs in the front for more traction in front to help "pull" the rear over stuff.
So, I'll cut the foams down small enough to allow the BBs to move about freely within the tire, but the foams will still keep the tires from getting wrapped up around the rocks. Anybody have an opinion on this? Thanx guys!! Vince

This ORCRC rig runs foams & BB's in the tires... sticks to the ground like mad!

I have narrowed kongs with foams. I cut 1/2 inch off the outside diameter and put 3 pill bottles full of bb's in the front tires only. works perfect but you'll need a heck of a servo to turn the heavy tires. I use the hitec 705 1/4 scale servo.....works awsome

Ok I have a question since this is somewhat about foams. I have a set of the regular Imex Swamp Dawgs, I was wondering about taking the foam out for some more traction. But the only problem I thought of is... wouldn't it bend up my rims?

doesn't seem likely you would break a rim because the speed is very low. I run with foams that are cut down on the diameter. this controls the tire flex and still maintains stability. I think the swamp dawgs stock/un cut are pretty stiff tires so no foams wouldn't think to be a problems.

Yes, BB's that go in guns. About a pound per tire more/or less depending on your application.

To cut my tires I used a dremel with a sanding drum.
