| old school hilux and blazin blazer wheels
i really like the look of these wheels and would like to use them on a new set of axels, like tlt or axial. i have a hard body defender 90 body that is going to be a 1.9 scale truck. so the question is...has anyone used these wheels on any other truck besides the hilux or blazer, if so how was it done, did you make or buy adapters. i have the idea in my head how it can be, done but dont have the type of machines for it. thanks

You might be able to hack up some dish style wheels to make adaptors from. Can't say I've seen anyone do it.

The 'Lux wheels are not 1.9". They are slightly smaller. You will have difficulty mounting up 1.9 tires. I beleive the Blazer wheels will work, but they are wider than the standard 24-26mm. If it's the hub you are after, it will be virtually impossible to fit. Look for some aftermarket hubs designed for the standard Tamiya axle. Aftermarket Hilux for 1.9 http://tamiya3speed.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6059 The closest match will likely be JPS or BruiserBuilder wheels. http://www.jpspro.com/ http://cgi.ebay.com/Tamiya-F-350-HIG...QQcmdZViewItem |

i have already mounted tamiya mud terrain tires and then rc4wd rock crusher tires to these wheels, fit perfect and not difficult at all. i bought the two piece aluminum wheels off ebay a long time ago, cant remember if they were hilux or blazer wheels. also, they are mounted to stock bruiser axles and hubs. i had to use alittle creativity, works perfect.
