| Idea for tire inserts...
I'm going to try filling my tires with ear plugs...you know, the ones you squeeze, push into ear, and they fill out and reduce noise. I figure it's very close to memory foam and I can alter how stiff the tire is by the amount of plugs I put in. Just an idea and will let you know how things progress. Post up and let me know your thoughts about the idea.

I don't know about the ear plugs you use but the ones I have are really hard. You have to really roll them between your fingers before they begin to compress. I certainly can't see them compressing under the weight of a crawler. But then again, maybe mine are not as soft as the ones you have.

Not all ear plugs are that hard...actually most that i have come across are actually quite soft foam. The earplugs we currently use at work are very soft and a lot like memory foam... Saying that, I would NOT fill my tires with them... as i am very happy with standard/memory foams |

I personally use these for when I play the drums and they are the softest plugs that I have seen in my 12 years of using plugs. www.macksearplugs.com Last edited by helhedded; 06-25-2008 at 12:22 PM. |
