Well, we have 2 types of rocks here. The real dusty dirty crap and the slick blue rock. When I go to run on the blue stuff i will clean my tires with some Simple Green.

i clean my tires with warm water and simple green, just dip them in a small bucket of the stuff and rinse, very clean, and sticky.

I only clean my tires before a comp event. I like to let the tires soak in Simple Green for about 15-20 minutes, 80% Simple Green and 20% water.

Next up is traction compound goop to slap onto the tires before the comp to even add more stickyness

I used to use a little WD40 on my clod tires, then waited overnight. It made them nice and soft. I've also played with Clean Streak, which made my pro-lines super soft, but left a white residue.

I have used just plain ol' dish soap and water on my masher 2k's and they are tacky enough to stick together.

I clean me tires before putting the truck away. Does that count? Then again, I am not quite right and basically detail my RC's after running. Perhaps I am OCD?

lol...my rig sits on the shelf, mud and all! Ok not a shelf but an empty aquarium (see avitar)

I did use simple green to clean the pajero tires before I sold it. Worked well.
