Default BFT assoc tire

well i just picked up a set and threw them on..havent ran them yet ( waiting on batteries to charge) but for the guys running them, are you running them with the inserts or not? i am wanting them to conform over the rocks but not really smash down like they are flat..or will the foams break in some after i run them?

also has anyone cut on the tires yet? have any pics of designs?

I run mine without, But I have only cut some of the middle tread portion. I think I need to cut some more tire off, once I get a chance to run on dry rock I will see.

Cut your foams!
Narrow them by about 3/4 inch.
Then, thin them out. Cut them so they are half as thick.
This will allow the tire to flex like there is no foam until the tire overflexes. Once that happens, the foam will control the overflex.

You can see how I cut my tread pattern on the Home page here. Look at the article regarding putting Big Tires on TXT wheels.

NO NO NO!!!
They are NOT the same tire. They are the same design but not the same rubber compound. The Quake tires are much harder and do NOT make a good crawling tire. They are cheaper for a reason! Please! Do your homework before posting something like that. Imagine how many people would have gone out and gotten the Quake tires, only to find out they SUCK! They would all blame you!

No worries Mojo.
On a heavier truck, they probably would work ok but I would still recommend the softer compound in any situation.

Will the BFT's fit on Clod wheels? Or, using the BFT wheels, would they fit onto clod axles?

They will fit on clod wheels but you have to do a little extra work to make them fit. Check out the home page to see the article on how to do it.

The BFT wheels will not fit on clod axles wtihout an adapter.
