well, i have never heard of a cloc axle, but yes, people put 2.2s on clod axles, and then they compete against tlts. the best choice of tires in my opinion is all-ts by imex, because they are tall enough.

I bought a set of the 2.2 moabs and a set of rpm wheels, don't remember the exact name of the wheel. It seems like the clearance under the clod axle is way too low with them on. Seems like they would get hung up on the littlest rocks. I narrowed the rim in the inside bead also.
What kind of clearances do most of you guys have running 2.2's on clod axles?
Is this a problem you have to adjust your driving to get around the clearance issue?
Just curious why you would run 2.2's. I understand they look more to scale and like that part of them, but for crawling are they worth the looks?

I don't mean to offend anyone just was curious I guess.

When running 2.2's on a Clod it is important to shave the diffs. This will net you very similar clearance to a TLT axle. My diff clearance is 1 3/8".
Heres a write up:
