| So whats inside your tires?
As I am just getting into crawling I have many questions, what do you run inside your tires, right now I just have the standard foam that came with my Axial Scorpion kit, but I have heard some people remove the foam and use air pressure, some use BB's some leave the foam and vent the wheels? What do you think works best? |

i run proline Chisels and i am running vented rims, stock foams and 5.5oz of weight in the front and 2oz in the rear, thats per tire. you dont want to use pressured air, it will make your tires bouncy and uncontrolable

I run Panther F400 standard non-cut foams... with vented tires and wheels. They are the best foams i have ever used...and they are cheap, simple, and consistant. |

I run the stock Axial RTR rims with HB soft Rovers, using stock foam, 1/8" drilled hole in all four rims and 9oz stick weight in each front rim and 4oz in each rear wheel. Will be replacing the stock foam with proline stage 2 shortly. Eric |

awesome thank you all for your input, I think I will try star cutting the foams, I am guessing just a sharp razor blade is best way? and I will drill the 1/8th" hole As for the weights, what seems to be best strapping them to your axles or to stick em inside the rims? |

im just runnin one 1/8" hole per rim, i would say that that would be a good start and then just go from there as to what you think works best.....

I am running Proline Straight 8 rims http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Proline-R...3-p-16804.html Losi Rock Claws tires http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Team-Losi...B-p-16414.html NWTT All Weather Hybrid Reach foam http://www.tcscrawlers.com/All-Weath...h-p-16840.html 7.5 oz of weight in the front wheels and 3 oz of weight in the rear wheels 2 vents holes in each wheel, approximately 180 degrees from each other on the other side of the rim. I drilled my vent hole through the weight and the rims. You have to test different setups to see what works best for you in your location and with your driving style. Remember it takes a little time for your tires and foam to break in and work their best together. Hope this helps you with your foam selections |
