I had 2 proline memory foams in each of my front Rovers and it worked great! I put a star cut Panther f400 in the rears. Many types of setups worked well with the Rovers in my opinion.

I just put rovers with memory foams on My rig last week. I think there a little soft too. I took one of the stock Rover foams and cut 4 .25" thick pieces from it and added one on the outside of each tire. Thought it might help out with the tire roll also? I havent tested it yet though so I dont know if it worked.

First had Acers Foams - worked very well for me and not to weather temperment, for my driving i felt they rolled the sides to easily (these are now in my Losi claws and working great in those) Now I have Crawler1's - again working very well. very temperature sensitive for me, my sidehilling ability is better and i roll the front tires less not causing me to plow the front end when i need it to turn. |

| yep, same here that's a popular choice from the countless posts about Rovers in the tire section. this post should be moved to the Tires or Newbie area Last edited by irok; 06-18-2009 at 02:18 PM. |

I haven't ran mine yet (I like my comp claws to much) But I put F400 in the rear and a vanquish setup in front. I'll report back when I finally run them.

I had some stiff Proline TMaxx foams that I cut to fit for the rear. The fronts are stock Rover foams with a layer of memory foam to fill them out. I just bought a bag full of deeply discounted zero-roll monster truck foams that I'll be messing with shortly... |

ive run 5.5x3" aces donuts with a 1/2" wide ring of non memory foam around the outside and that works great. im currently running panther f400 foams and they're working really well also.

X2 on the Aces. I used them in my rovers before I went with the new wheels. Now I am trying out the stock foams and mayhems new UCW wheels.

Can someone just make a "rover foam" sticky already, tired of sifting through 900 rover foam threads a day to get to threads I actually wanna read. |

I think the problem with everyones opinion on foam setups is there foam setup is only half of there setup. Wheels and weight is big factor on everyones foam setup. If you run light trucks then a softer foam can work better, but if you like some weight especially in your front then it will smash your soft foams and finally your wheels vps wheels are wider and mayhems are skinnier which makes the foam fill out the tire different. I just think if people want to know foam setups then you need to know wheels and weight. |

I've tried a number of custom foam set ups and keep coming back to stock foams but my rig is light (6.25) lbs and I'm running narrow wheels.
