Default Wheel weight help

Hey all - I have a modded cliff climber and im running Losi Rock Claws with stock foams that came with it and RPM Revolver wheels that are non beadlocks. I want to add some weight to them, so I have a few questions. Do I need to trim the stock foams at all? I was thinking of 5oz in each from and 2 in each rear, is this enough or okay? I have a modded cliff climber and it needs weight to help keep it planted. Thanks for any help!

The weight sounds good, and I have run stock losi foams with plumbing solder for weight without trimming them.

I eventually ended up with channeled memory foams. The solder is wrapped tightly around the wheel, and the highest part sits in the channel.

Cool, so should I eventually change the foams? I want to get beadlocks at some point but for now this set up is nice. So when I switch to beadlocks, maybe put memory foams in then?

its an scx10, stock wheels with the proline flat irons. if by shafty you mean shaft driven yeah it would be. its just too light and i dont wanna dish out money on exspensive aluminum rims. when it articulates, one corner sometimes comes up but with only slight pressure(like me pushing it truck down a bit) the wheel can make contact with the ground and the suspension can still travel to accomidate. also it will help on the steep inclines. right?
-thanks
