Default Tank tracks/half tracks??

Odd question, but I did see a pic of a truck on here with snow tracks on the back. Looking to build a scale military half track. Has anyone seen anything like this or know who makes those snow tracks? I cant find the pic of the truck now. Probably going to do it in 1/10th scale.

I'd looks for a busted Heng Long tank, the tracks off one of those would look perfect with a set of tall 1.9s.

Exactly what I was gonna say, you need to find an old Heng Long tank. They are 1:16th scale, so it may work out good for some 1.9" tires.

The problem is they are mostly plastic. Depending on what tank you find you might be able to hunt up some metal replacement parts for some of the suspension. Tiger 1's and PkFw III's and IV's seem to have the largest aftermarket availability...

I've been wanting to do a half track build too... Found some on ebay for tanks, ranged from 2" to 3" wide.

Most metal track kits get you a pair of metal tracks and a pair of metal drive wheels. That's it.

You'll still need a pair of idler wheels, a set of road wheels, and a set of bogie wheels. And all the suspension arms, springs, and all the hardware. And a chassis.

You need a whole tank basically, except for the upper hull and turret...

really I think the heng long ones had all the bogies and drive wheels plus tracks. no suspesion so your right you would need the 50 dollar tank for that part to.. When I get home I have a link to a sight the sells all the tanks and all the metal upgrades. plus they have discounts for steel upgrades with the tanks..
