Yet another concur for the mudslingers... Based off the venerable Super Swamper Bogger tires (best streetable mud tire EVER), you just can't go wrong.... I also agree with jon on cutting them, too. You mentioned deep, wet mud, you're gonna want extra tire lug void clearance, so cut out (with curved lexan scissors for best results) the smallest (non-siped) lugs so you just have the two bigger sized lugs left over. Should do the trick!

Jon>> Hey, you have any pics of your cut up Mudslingers? Post "em up!

The Rok Lox have unsurpassed realism (and apparently the same in performance for a scaler tire) for sure! I have heard many good things about them, but as far a deeper slipperier mud, i dunno. I think most people stick to the rocks with those guys...

Tell us, what sort of terrain are we talking here? what type of mud and how deep? What would be your guess as to the mud/trail ratio? (i.e. 80% mud, 20% other, etc...). Officially, I suppose that getting the Loxs would be your 1st step, and if they don't perform the way you want in the mud, you can relegate them to "trail-only" status and pick up the slingers for the deeper mud.. Of course, this is assuming you already have a set of beadlock wheels to swap with?

cut slingers work great, it's what I use on the lil one.
when you want to run with the big boys get some narrowed clods or Imex single/duals.
whatever you do run make sure you are 100% waterproof aka submarinable.
seal up the tires completley.
check out the Florida section for getting nasty
