Default do tires have to be perfectly round ??

my question may seem funny, and to be more precise:

i did star cut the tire foam of my ax10 stock tires. drilled a breathing hole in the rim, and installed tires and foam.

when i now lift the rig, hit the gas, tires are wobbling around - meaning they are not perfectly round. should i mind? crawling is really slow speed, so i think this is no big deal, right?

what do you think?

I have yet to see a crawler that doesn't have some wobble in at least one of the tires. It's not just that the tire is out of round. The axles could play into that. Some are plastic and could flex over time. Also, it could be that the rim is not seated all the way on the hex, or the beads aren't seated exactly the same all the way around, foams may soften over time and create flats spots, etc.

For as slow as these things go, it won't hurt a thing if the tire wobbles, other than drive you batsh!t crazy if you are OCD lol

Depending on what tire I mount on what rim with what foam and weights, I get all kind of out of round showing, not a lot but visable.
I am very anal about that sort of thing and will reseat a tire to try to get rid of it.
You are right, at the low speed we crawl at especially me as I hate spinning a tire, it is not a big issue.

A small wobble or out of round up to 3mm or 1/8" is ok, after that you need to look again and possibly reseat the tire or sort your foams.

i know that sometimes if a rig sits a while when you first drive it it will wobble a bit.
sorta like the 1:1 during the winter.

i know what you mean, and am aware of that. unfortunately tires are as they are now just after putting them together. it didn't even have time to sit long enough to become flat ;)
