Default 1.9 crawler tires on a trail runner?

I've been looking at alot of 1.9's for an offroad/trail runner type build, and saw a number of "crawler specific" tires like Rovers, Losi's, RC4WD's, ect. I'm not really looking for scale appearance so much as performance. I have the Rox Lox and Flat Irons, both good but I wanted something different and more agressive. Any thoughts or opinions?

Thanks in advance ,

Thanks for the response. Anyone else have some input? I'm looking for something a little taller than the Flat Irons.

Those are on my short list of wanted tires, thanks for posting up .

I was looking at a few more aggresively treaded tires like Out Croppers, Rock Stompers, Rovers and Chisels. I haven't heard much chat on these, but I know the 2.2 version of the Rovers are tough to beat.

I was looking at a set of 1.9 Rovers at my LHS the other day. Same great tread design as the 2.2s but they are alot smaller than most other 1.9 tires. IMO they really look like they are sized for somehthing like a Losi MRC. Yeah they looked that small to me.

You could narrow a set of 2.2 cobras and run on a 2.2 rim they would be as tall as the rok lok ( I think) I know I cut and shut a set down to 1.9 but they are the same hiegt as the 1.9 chisel. I thought about doing thsi for some time but still to chicken to narrow my last set of 2.2 rims

As far as 1.9 have you ever tried to butcher up your g8 FI's? I did this to mine and they are still the best all around 1.9er I've run shy of the rok lok's ( they win for looks and ground clearense)

I might try modding my old set of yellow dot FL's, but not the new ones, not yet anyway. So far, Chisels seem to be in the lead for the height/aggresive tread I'm searching for. Or I could just buy another set of Rox Lox. It would be nice if the RC4WD was more clear as to which tires are X3 compound, some just say they're soft or don't even mention compounds .
