Could they be replaced with new nyloc nuts? They sound worn out and sloppy.

If your "nuts" are not flanged you can reverse them so the Nylon bites first. Otherwise loctite will keep you "nuts" floppy free.

I hate floppy nuts. I carry a nut wrench with me on every outing just in case I get some floppy nuts. When my nuts get all loose and floppy, I put them back in there place with a good old twist of the wrench.

Mine are a bit floppy but that is from doing the "batwing" at work. Kind of fun with a flashlight you can make the Bat signal as well.

I don't pay too much attention to my nuts. As long as they are there I'm happy. I just check them once in a while. |

Floppy nuts are bad, but sticky nuts are no party either. Worst of all are crusty nuts (when you use Loctite every time and remove your wheels a lot) What, did you think I was talking about something else? Y'all are sick |

| Loose nuts
You can also use small rubber o-rings, works well

OMG thats great, sticky nuts are the worse. they dont want to come apart. You have to tug at them. if you got a girlfriend she will give ya a hand. just make sure you dont twist them to much you my break one..

i think my nuts by be loose because of this one time while my hands where doing something i ask my girlfriend if she could twist the nuts on, i said " baby dont worry its not a big deal, just give em an few good turns with my wrench" she turned it and turned it and then i herd a "snap, tick-tick, pop, snap, crack, snap, brake, snap, ouch" come from where she was twistin ......... i know you all wondering how its doing and wonder no longer beside its fine and up and running Last edited by CreepyCrawler88; 03-14-2006 at 12:01 AM. |

| I personally think loose nuts are the worst. If you dont make sure your nuts are secure you risk a premeture blow out(ya know when you are at the bonus gate and you just pulled off the hardest climb of the day and just as you get ready to make the big finale your wheel pops off and rolls down a 20 foot incline, and laying next to your truck is one of your nice shiney nuts) |
