| How To: Venting and adding weights to beadlocks...
Just thought I would share, this is pretty common but thought the newer guys would like to know. A quick way to help your crawler/scaler become more stable is to vent and add weights to your beadlocks. Venting will allow the tire to conform to terrain and give you more traction. Weighting your wheels with lead weights will allow your axles to become more heavy, hence hopefully keeping all 4 wheels planted on the ground. It will also help with your center of gravity (COG), when climbing/descending hills and sidehilling. Here is my drill bit that came with my 3mm tap, so I have the option later to plug the hole if I plan on going through lots of water or mud. Adding weights, making sure not to cover the holes I drilled. |

Just in case people are wondering, or they have a 3mm tap and need to drill, the drill size is #39 |
