Default Problem with 2.2 Swampers beadlocks not holding

Anyone have a problem with the 2.2 PL Swampers slipping out of the beadlocks?

I just picked up a set and am trying to use them with stock Axial wheels and MTHEAD delrin rings and they slip out by hand...not even running.

I also tried one on my RC4WD wheel and it slipped out too....my Sedonas slip out of these wheels aslo due to too large of a lip so not too concerned.

Was wondering if there is some prep work needed or will I have to use a little glue to help hold the bead?

Also the stock PL foams are way too soft fopr my scaler...going to have to get creative on that!

Try washing your tires with warm soapy water. Dishwashing soap works good. Sometimes the mold release agent prevent's anything from grabbing. The fact that delrin is slik ck probably doesn't help, but I'm pretty sure the matte finish on the MTHead rings negate that effect.

I would wash the tires and try again. And make sure your beadlock rings are fully seated. When you look at them from the center of the rim out towards the tire, the beadlock ring should be fully seated against the wheel face. If there is the slightest gap, the beadlock ring & bead itself is not fully seated or secure, and you'll pop beads all the time.

I am going to try cleaning that surface.

On the backs, I am using the stock Axial ring and it holds with no problem, but i did sandblast them so they probably bite really hard...especially compared to the delrin.

I am not opposed to using some glue also, but would like to get a decent foam setup worked out first.
