Default suggestion for loose dirt uphill climbs

Hi where I live it hot and sunny so dirt is always there when trailing. I was wondering wht tires do you guys suggest for that kind of terrain. Im running 2.2 flat irons and they do okay but I can theres tires that can do better because there are times where truck will just stay in one place and turn those tires like crazy. Terrain is mostly loose dirt trails and uphills so I need the most traction a tire has to offer.

Thats mainly what we run on also and I tried quite a few different tires including the flat irons and found that some Masher 2000's and Axial Ripsaws worked the best with the Ripsaws being the better of the 2.

I ran my scaler in an event this past weekend that had every type of terrain....sand, mud, rocks, trees/roots, and lots of loose dirt. My 1.9 Boggers with small lugs cut and CI 4.75" foams were working VERY well...especially in the sand and loose dirt! I was quite impressed with them...

Nice! do they have these in 2.2's? Where can I try to purchase these? Those are some nice work you did if you cut those lugs by yourself you cant see the job done on it.

Thanks! Yeah, the small lugs cut out easily on these tires. All I used was a set of curved body scissors.

Yep, these tires are available in 2.2's as well:

I saw a set of the 2.2's this weekend....they are BIG!

For loose dirt/sand uphill nothing beats a paddle. Check out the FOFF section and you can see. Of course paddles are only really good for loose dirt/sand and mud.

Seeing as you have 2.2 flat irons already you could just switch tires/wheels for different terrain.

Just 1 idea out of many out there.

I tried the Mud Slingers, Swamp Dawgs(both with the small lugs cut) Flat irons, Losi Claws, Hammers, Losi's that look like Pit Bulls. All of these and the Ripsaws and Mashers were on top for me. I was also running a 35t motor on 3s so wheel speed was not an issue.

Ill give these tires a try but the ones on the list right now are mashers, ripsaw, and boggers. Maybe try some tsl's and mudslingers. Yeah the terrain where we trail is not the beach and all its like a moutain where theres alot of loose dirt and hill climbs. Well encounter some clay area also some nice muddy area when it rains so paddles are out although I was thinking of getting one LOL.

No offense 93-306, but I have run plenty of Mashers in my day in various configurations (stock, narrowed, reduced) and the cut boggers work WAY better in more types of terrain than the mashers. The compound of the boggers makes them better on rock and the tread makes them equal to mashers in loose stuff.

None taken but I have yet to run the new boggers. I also found that the Ripsaws were better than the Mashers. I also think that if you had 2 different rigs and 2 different people behind the controls tires are gonna perform differently.

I'd look at the 2.2 PitBulls too. They are a little wider, and have great flotation and traction in loose dirt.
