Default Size 1.9 wheels on a venom creeper

I was looking at putting 1.9 wheels and tires on my venom creeper scaler. I have heard that some wheels will not fit? Is there anything that I have to do to the creeper to be able to put the 1.9s on my scaler? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The problem you will run into is the knuckles are very large and will rub the inner bead of the 1.9 wheels or the tires themselves. One thing that looked like it may work is to put Axial knuckles on the creeper axle. it is a much different design and would solve the rubbing. I looked at them and they seem as though they may work. But I haven't bolted them up to see for sure.

Axial Knuckles will work in front you just need a different outer bearing. In the rear you can modify the knuckle by cutting off the arm but leaving the "C" and drilling a hole in the vertical face and running the link on the inside. Axial 1.9's, and RC4WD 1.9's and 1.55's will fit. Sometimes those little hex spacers from a touring car also help out.

I have no problems with my axial 1.9s on the stock knuckles. The trick is to use the stock hexes and not cut the little extention off. This extention gives you the extra clearance for the kuckle. Havent had any problems with rounding out the hexes either.

On the stock hexes, there is a little nub ( highlighted in pic) that spaces out the wheels just enough to clear the kuckles
