| water in my wheels.
I like to run my truck in alot in mud and creek beds, but I'm tired of having water sit constantly in my wheels, I replaced the foam inserts with styrofoam peanuts but the styrofoam breaks down into smaller pieces over time. Does anyone know of something I can use to stuff my tires with that does not absorb water? Do they make tire/rim combos that keep water out all together?

you could take a pair of snips and snip a little hole in the center of the tread and when your tires turn it actually throws the water out of the tire and at the end of the day when your done just squeeze out the water run it on the bench to get the water out through centrifugal motion

if your tires are vented you would need new tires but if its your rims that are vented then just plug the vents with super glue or something, but a buddy of mine actually likes the water because it adds weight to the tires for when he is on the rocks....

I like to use concrete. It adds a great deal of weight down low and provides excellent sidewall support.

Not sure what size foams you run...there's waterproof foams available if you search on this forum...I forget the vendor. What I do is after extensive wet runs I just let them air dry taking them off the beadlocks. Memory foams and water are a bad idea btw lol but I'm still running them! I have no more side-hill capabilities thinking of getting Nova DD's 1.9 |

I was talking about this once and had the idea of a gore-tex patch over the vent holes. Let air in and out but no water can get in. I'm only posting this so I have some documented proof that it was my idea when one of you steal it. |

Pretty simple IMO. Don't vent you wheels or tires. I've never ran vented wheels/tires on my scalers cause I like to get wet. Everyonce and a while it's a good idea to take them appart and make sure there is no water in there and let them dry out. |

A broken foam for sure, OPERATION! A missing beadlock bolt, OPERATION! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZAaHv_8xUk But really, that is right. If you are leaking you should check your beads to make sure they are seated properly in the groove and check to make sure all of your beadlock bolts are securely fastened! | |

What you cad do is vent the wheel on one of the beadlock holes. When you want crawlability (not sure if that is a word but wtf ever) take out the corresponding beadlock screw. When you want to take it in mud and water then you put the said screw back in the hole. If you are running beadlocks that are not vented and still getting wet then something isn't correct with your seal on the beadlock rings. Check that the tires are properly seated in the groove of the wheel. Also make sure you don't have a bunch of stripped out beadlock holes. One other tip. Search button works really well, I know this has been covered at least a 1000 times on here before. And my final tip. If you want an answer from a bunch of smart a$$e$ then don't get all butthurt when someone jacks with you a little bit. Just pull up your big girl panties and take it as it comes. |

Dont pay any attention to demrod he spends most of his time in chit-chat swinging from duuuudes nuts. As for the wheel problem if you already vented the wheel you can put some silicone in the hole and seal them back up. that and snug beadlocks should cure the problem
