| I think the rest of the RC world is catching on...
Went over to the Traxxas boards for a good laugh today....found this post on "cutting tires" (for speed ) In theory it works...but some of these guys act like this is better than sliced bread.... Quote:

LOL What dorks, kinda like all the idiots that think putting a wing on their car makes it go faster. I was banned from the Traxxas boards a while ago...that brings back memories.

When the T-Maxx came out there weren't any aftermarket tires available so I started cutting the stock tires...did a how-to type thing on my website. That was...geez...6 years prior to that tip. 8O

ya because a wing does help make your car go faster, i tried driving my xxx-nt once with out it and found that i couldn't get the traction i got with it on there

Yea just a little late lol Next will be "slicing and closing" your Maxx tires to cut down on air resistance at a blazing 36mph |

What's real funny is that I actually did an article in RC Driver a few months back about various ways to mod your tires...both for more and less traction. I showed some cut Mammoths as an example of modifying an existing tread pattern with cut-off wheels and such.

ive got a couple warnings but managed to not get banned.. lol..I sold my t-maxx mby a year ago after owning it for 3 1/2...

That thing was definitely a big deal at the time. RCCA just reprinted the article again (3rd time now) in their "Traxxas Maxx" book. As of now it's in pieces, cannibalized for parts. :( |
