Default cut 2.2 rock lox

So I finally went and bought me some different tires for my wraith and wanted the irok look so i bought the rock lox from a friend who had a spare set. Little did I know they are stiff and the center tread seems to not have enough gap between the lugs to get any traction in the center of the tire, so I pulled out my tire iron and to work I went.

please feel free and comment, if theres something youve tried that works better please post up a pic of the pattern so we can see it thanks for looking

Looks good, been thinking about getting a pair and doing the same thing. How do you like them? Would you buy them again or get another tire?

i found the same problem with mine. i just cut one side of the tread though. i found that they hooked up and cleaned out better but still to stiff for me. so i sanded all the ribing off in the inside of the tire then mounted and chucked them up on the bench drill and sanded them until the siping was gone. they still are not as good as my cut-n-shut rock beasts but it was a huge improvment over stock.

I actually love them now i cut on the lines of the center lug and removed a little from both sides, probably why mine are softer and fold over stuff the way they do( that and the foams)

Just picked up a set star cut the stock foams and cut about half of the large lug out.

I did this to my 1.9 rok lox and it makes a huge difference in my opinion, right off the bat I noticed the tire was a lot softer and pliable. On the rocks, these things grip a lot better!!! I have tried mud yet but next weekend is a ttc and I will be going through some mud. Also a tractor pull. so I'll see how well it does. I see the 1:1 southern buggies do this cut on tsls and they shred up hill climbs!!
