| VP > RC4WD hub compatibility
Hi peeps. As per the title, I'm wanting to know if the VP hubs have the same (or very similar) bolt circle diameter as the 1.9 RC4WD Steely 6bolt hubs? Reason I'm asking, I have a set of the 1.9 pin mount RC4WD hubs, and am thinking about getting the Axial TR beadlock 2.2 rims for my wraith and wanted to know if my hubs would suit the rims or not. Using a ruler and a good eye, i measure the bolt circle at 16.5 mm on the RC4WD hubs. Would someone be kind enough to measure the VP hubs for me please?? |

That is c-c. With my digital calipers I get 14mm inside and 19.5mm outside.

hmmm its making me think i could get away with that amount of difference. RC4wd 13 - 20 (difference > 7) average diameter 16.5 VP 14 - 19.5 (difference > 5.5) average diameter 16.75 0.25mm between PCD i reckon i can work with. next issue is to hope that the RC4wd hubs are going to result in a narrower offset than the stock hubs that come with the new Axial TR rims... |

They should be the same, only difference is VP SLW hubs use 4-40 hardware so you have to drill out the bolt holes in the wheels slightly. Last night I bolted a set of Lattice Innovation Shift hubs up to a set of RC4WD 1.55 steelies with no problems.

They work great on the vp wheels, I use them all the time to get a slightly narrower track width.

ha! it gets even better! heres the rig, just so we're all on the same page. im thinking about getting the new axial 2.2 beadlocks for it, and ill stretch on the trepadors (they look awesome stretched on wide 2.2 rims!! ) the axial hubs look really wide ^ has anyone got any to find out what the equivalent VP hub would be?? |
