| Need ideas to fix holes in tires!
I recently decided to groove the tires on my nylint and in the process i cut a few holes in the tires. I read the thread about using silicone and i tried that using the blue colored silicone and it just pealed off after a few minutes. Does the black rtv work better or should i scuff the inside of the tire with sandpaper to make it stick better? I have a couple of holes fairly big. would i be better off just to glue the lug back on?

Not sure on this, but I thought those tires were super cheap to buy. Would it be better to just start over with new rubber?

How big are the holes? I've filled a few roughly 1/4" or bigger with GOOP. Get it at Home Depot or Lowes. Smear it HEAVY on the inside, let it bulge on the outside and let it dry. After it's dry, trim the excess with sidecutters. |

Holes help the tire vent better. Rubberized CA could work though.
