Default HPI stock wheel/2.2 wheel beed--Question???With Photos

Can this be done, or has it been done??

Take a 2.2 wheel
1- cut out the center part of the 2.2 wheel
2- narrow what's left of the wheel to the width of a HPI stock car
wheel (1")
3- slide the stock car wheel into the 2.2 narrowed wheel
4- glue or screw both wheels together

Or

Cut out the bead portions of the 2.2 wheels and slide those over the stock wheels, glue/screw and voila??

will that work??

Maybe use some extreme 1" narrowed tires and some 2.2 rock sliders??

Just a brainstorm that i had??

Has anyone done this??

The Diameter of the stock wheel is 1.9", what's the diameter of a blackfoot wheel per say??

This if it worked, would be great for scale builds, because it'll bring the wheel closer to the wheel wells, for a more scale look

they have a shallower dish which would put the tire closer to the vehicle like this versus this

This is a sample piece, due to the fact that the hotworkz wheels are crap, I used it as a test wheel

This way you can use any touring car wheel 1" wide
with any 2.2" tire

You can narrow the tire to match, leave it as is and fit it over the wheel, use proline dirt hawg front or rear buggy tire 2.2, very narrow also
