| Help with Axial 2.2 Trail Ready wheels
I just bought a set of Axial 2.2 Trail Ready HD Series wheels (AX08142) to go along with the 2.2 BFGoodrich Krawler T/A's (AX12021), like the Poison Spyder Wraith comes with. Does anyone know if they make the hub adapters with the 12mm hex to fit these wheels? I have the Wraith kit which has the 12mm hex type wheel which seems to be a stronger way to attach the wheel and tire to the axels. The new Trail Ready wheels fit OK but I would like to maintain the strength of the 12mm hex design. Any info or ideas would be great, Thanks and Happy Wheelin !

That im aware of they only use the adapters that are supplied with the wheels. Im not thrilled either since the adapters are plastic I would think they could strip easy.

I am using Vanquish 850 hubs on my 2.2 Trail Ready wheels. For your wraith in would recommend 350 and 425 size hubs to keep a proper width. Here's a link, I buy straight from VP http://www.vanquishproducts.com/slwwheelhubs.html Don't forget to pick up 32 4-40 screws for the hubs. They are hard to find and expensive online. If you look in your local area for a "Fastenal" store or mechanical hardware store you can find them cheap. If not I could probably get them for you for about 15$ Last edited by BuhBoombuh; 01-27-2014 at 12:02 AM. |

With running those hubs you would also need to purchase the 12mm hexs? Since the ps wraith doesnt come with them?

Hey thanks Fish-Hunter and BuhBoomBuh for posting the pics! I will be placing an order soon, I see they are on sale right now from Vanquish. This might be of interest to those with the stock RTR Poison Spyder Wraith. They will be able to beef up the way the wheels mount to the axels by getting the Vanquish hubs and the 12mm hex adapters like the ones that come in the Wraith kit. Thanks again.

One last question, what length screws? Amazon has 4-40 screws for under $5 per 100, but not sure what length. Lengths available 1/8" 5/8" 7/8" 1-1/4" 3/16" 9/16" 1-1/2" 1/2" 1" 1/4" 3/4" |

Great info guys. Is there anyway someone could see how these fit on an exo front end. I am looking to find some wheels that will narrow up my wrexo. Currently running slw's on the front and the only way to make them clear is to run very wide hubs due to the tabs that are used for the inner beadlock. These look to have much more clearance on the nside much like the vp omf wheels. Thanks

I run 475s vp hubs and they will give you about an 1/4 inch wider width .or an 1/8 each side .
