It will not hurt the wheels one bit, however it will not hold up more than a run or two either. No matter how many coats. As cheap as it is you could keep pilling it on though |

I suppose it actually depends on your driving terrain and style as well, so they may last you a bit. If your not rubbing them up hard into the rocks and the ring protects them you might be alright. It holds well thats for sure, as long as you dont "break the skin". Good luck and post up |

You may run into the problem of the plastidip shrinking in the cold and pulling off the wheel (which obviously will not shrink). The bigger problem is why would you want to slap that cheap looking crap on your beautifully machined wheels? If you want a different color, do it right and take the wheels to get anodized or powder coated. |

The thing is I wanted to see how it would look in different color before ordering another color or anodizing

There's multicolored plasti-dip? Is anybody else wondering why you'd want to do this ? |

Plasti Dip Interntional - Rubber and Plastic Coatings and Adhesives why different colors? to quickly identify different size tools that may look the same or to separate your tools from those belonging to someone else if you happen to work in a shop with several other mechanics. of course there's also those who might just want something other than black on whatever they plan to dip why dip a set of wheels? Manny covered that | |

Cool thing about plasti dip is it peels right off doesn't damage what you painted so if you get tired of one color peel off the old and re paint.its really cool stuff I've used it a lot on rims Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'd put a thick enough coat on them tht it'll be easy to peel off. Making a thin coat will be a pain in the butt to get it all off but still just curious why you'd want to do tht to such a nice wheel

I've used Plastidip on a few different things, even my 1:1 Tacoma. If you ever want to remove it, use WD40 and it softens up then peels off. This is especially handy when the plastidip didn't lay down thick enough. I wouldn't hesitate to paint aluminum wheels with it.

I used it to spray my rock warrior wheels black and it has held up great going on 3 years now. Whats wrong spraying something a new color and not having it be permanent? Thats why people do this.
