Question $12 g-made beadlocks good or not

I'm wondering if the $12 g-made beadlocks are good for intermideate crawling or not.

I would say at 12 dollars for 2 u are not losing much if they aren't good. Worth a shot.

I just ordered a set of 4 for the same price. I hear they're alright, but might not handle hard bashing. I'll be chucking them on a trail rig.

The $12 plastic ones may be ok for light crawling/trailing. I have the $20 metal "sr02" version and can say they hold bead pretty well and(but) are real heavy

They are excellent for how cheap they are. I have a set on my scx and a set on one of my cc-01s. They are great!

Same here, They moved over to the 1.9 wraith build from my scx though. Best budget beadlock in my opinion. I vented the rings in my back wheels and run the front on air with no foams, Stick on wheel weights fit on the ring if you are wondering.

My son has been using the 6th( I wanted a full set with matching spare) as a teether with a tsl/sx since he was 6 months old. Now he is 1yr old and we poke a straw through it and he holds the straw and spins it over and over.

Not sure. I took my stock wheels and tires off after the initial carpet shots and threw them in the tackle box. I would assume you could mount them up no problem. Probably going to want to look into new foams and venting either the tire or wheel. I selected wheel so I could sillycone up the holes if they were a mistake. So far I like them. And I haven't had a problem with the hardware stripping out either!

I say go for it. They look good, they last. The biggest problem you will ever have with them is probably either figuring out how much weight to stick in them or getting used to the style of bead lock they are, not quite as simple as those with a 1 pc wheel and 2 bead rings. and for 24-26 bucks for set of 4, your not out much if you don't like them.

I used them on my wraith with ripsaws and they worked great for me and I'm strictly a crawler guy!

I should have mine in a few days. I'll report back on them, but it sounds good so far. They're not that much different than traditional beadlocks. The biggest difference is the screws going in the middle, instead of the edge. A bit tricky the first time, but so good looking!

Cool Re: $12 g-made beadlocks good or not

I ordered a set a couple years ago & rannem on a crawler for awhile. had a few too many beads escape. The rings were ridiculously flimsy. I'd imagine with all the positive reviews, they're better now. have to be. I'd think there'd be fewer issues on a trail rig.

I had the Mudrocks 2.2 on Mudslingers , they stuck out too far and beadlocks are trashed, chipped, broke - may work on Rovers or wider tires

Got my wheels. They're good. The problem is the vendor (who is normally one of the best) pulled a bait & switch. I ordered "2 pairs" and they changed the ad to "2 pcs" after the fact. The original purchase is correctly listed in my PayPal history, so I figure I'm covered.

So, if you see an ad on eBay for "2 pairs" of these wheels for $12, be warned.

I have a set and like them. I was actually able to get them to hold a bead on pitbull tires also.

I like the way they look, they are easy to assemble, they are inexpensive, however, this is what happened last weekend. BTW I'm real easy on my equipment. Two of the four look like this. I hope they are just faulty.
