Default Demounting tires from steel wheels

I picked up some R35 ripsaws mounted on a set of RC4wd steel wheels for my wraith. The tires are glued to the wheels . Do I just throw them in the oven ?

Sometimes putting them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes will help you break the glue loose. You can also boil some water and drop them in for a few minutes if the freezer doesn't do the job.

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but did you take the screws out of the hubs. The reason I ask is I got some used steelies in a deal and thought the same as you until I took out the screws!!!!

So are your wheels internal beadlocks? My wheels have screws holding on the hubs but removing them only separates the hubs from the wheels. I can see glue around the bead of the tire.

Chopfather I tried the freezer overnight with no luck. Gonna try the boiling water .

Soak them in acetone for 6-8 hours. It will dissolve all the glue off the tire and wheel.

I do the same thing. If you don't want to soak them put a few drops of acetone along the bead and gently peal the tire loose allowing the acetone to dissolve the glue as you go around. Be patient and go slow the acetone will do all the work. With that being said, the acetone will also remove the paint along the bead of the wheel aswell, I use an eye dropper and let the acetone run down the sidewall of the tire as to not get any on the face of the wheel

x2, some people will glue tires to beadlocks when they have trouble holding the tire bead.

Guys I stand corrected. Codyboy was right removed the bolts holding the hubs on and the tires fell off. I didn't realize the wheels were a 3 piece setup. The glue I was seeing on the bead must have been residual from a previous life.
