Default C I foams in water?

Inoticed the Crawler Innovations site says their Double Deuce foarms are "not waterproof". What exactly does that mean? Are they not to get wet? Submerged?
I have been avoiding a creek at my local spot due to their satatement but I've been wondering what the actual limitations are.
I have the usual vent hole in the wheels and tires.

The grey part is, the white part is not.

I never worry about getting mine wet as long as I remember to not let them sit with water in them. Worst case scenario is I eventually buy a new set of outers.

I run all my trucks in water with the DD CI foams. I pull the foams out every other outing to dry everything out.

Like dude^8 said, the inner closed cell foams are waterproof but the open cell outer foams soak up water.

It's less of an issue if you run the CI Deuces Wild foams, they don't have the non water proof outer part to worry about.

But note that the Double Duece foams are night and day in performance versus the Dueces Wild. Ie, They both have their specific applications.

Just put two holes in your tires, so the water can get out, and dont worry about it. I have had mine wet many times, and have not really noticed any difference in how long they last compared to ones I have kept dry.

There are holes in mine but a 55t motor doesn't spin tires very fast so water gets trapped.

You'll be better to pull the foams out every now and then and dry them out.

It's to hard to mount them for that. Proline tsl xl on VP method wheels.
