Vaterra Ascender TSL's on RC4WD 1.9 Wagon Wheels?

Is there anything special I need to do to mount the kit TSL's on the RC4WD 1.9 6 lug wagon wheels? I can't get them to go together with the lock ring in place and even have issues with the kit foams getting between the ring and the tires and rim halves. Will I need to get the Proline tire rings to make these work, or should I get a different set of rims to work with these tires and then get RC4WD tires to work with these rims?


BTW, the reason for not using the stock rims, they're just too fugly and they look like they really should be used on anything other that mall lot queens, or coal roller diesel douche mobiles IMHO.

Yes, or dremel the beads down a bit. The bead flange is very thick.

Thanks, I'll have to get the rimgs, those are by far the cheaper option.

They are on back order, so I ordered a set of HPI's 26mm wide VTA stock car wheels for my WK and will swap the Axial 1.9 8 hole wheels from that to my Ascender for the TSL's, then get a set of Mud Thrashers to use on the Wagon Wheels.
