| Gmade 1.9 VR01 install help
Hello all, I have a set of Gmade VR01 beadlocks and am having a hard time getting them to seat correctly so that I can get the nuts and bolts to line up. (see attached photos). I have tried many things to get them to fit, it just seems like the there is too much rubber from the tire/or the inner ring is too big for them to seat all the way. I thought about sanding a little of the inner ring down so they can fit better but then I thought I might risk them not pinching enough and the wheel spinning inside the tire. Any help to get these on would be much appreciated. Brian |

you can use longer screws to get it started and/or use a set of clamps. |

I used three longer bolts in every other hole and tighten them evenly, it takes a little while but they will bead up evenly and look good, I had a set of Pitbulls on the on my GCM 4 Ten chassis, I like them because of there offset, there perfect for my Mini Trophy and they look good with the RC4WD Tomahawk's and the traction is pretty good bashing around my yard and to be honest too me Flat Irons are kind of a pain in the ass to mount evenly and lock the bead in bead lock rim, when I was using them, or maybe its just me, but they can be mounted Last edited by kgb424; 02-04-2016 at 03:46 PM. |

Use the included longer hardware for mounted, as stated above. It doesn't get much simpler than mounting these beadlocks.

It not the only sugestion, but everytime I have a hard time with beadlocks, I send out for C.I foams, they make securing a beadlocks way less time consuming. I would try the clamp trick, but I would cut a couple wooden dounuts that I could use to squish the tire, and foam between said dounuts. |

Thanks for all the tips everyone. I got them mounted up and they look great. I ended up sanding the inner ring about 4 to 5mm so that I could get the 2 halves to seat correctly. As someone said I think the Flat Irons we causes some of my problems. Then realized there were longer screws in the packaging (Brain Fart!!!). They are on and I did some crawling with the new rig. Need to shorten the wheel base (at 12 now) a bit but it still worked good.
