Default Rockbeast XL foams

What foams are you all using with the 1.9 RBXL's ? I'm thinking 4.75" CI Lil Novas, anybody have this setup yet ? Thanks in advance

Currently running the XL's with comp cut 4.75's: soft for the front and medium for the rear. The rig is a scale comp set-up so only crawling for the use. So far I am happy with the set-up. Hope that helps.

Running the same minus the comp cut. Can't wait to try them out.

I run lilnova 4.5" comp cut soft front And firm rear. Though I should be running Med in the rears. My truck weighs in at 7.5lb. The CI's sizing supposed to be for weight, not tire size.

Marvel, does your fronts sit flat like mines?

stock foams are working fantastic for me. I see no reason to mess with it. I'm glad for that, they wouldn't be worth the asking price if the foams sucked.

I'm running the same setup in mine and yes the tires are pretty flat in the Fri t. They work well though so I can't complain.

Thanks guys, the stock foams are way too hard for my likings. I just put a set of the TSL XL stock memory foams in my PBXL's and they're more like what I'm wanting now, they aren't quite as tall now but they're much softer. I'm going to leave these foams in until I can get some CI foams

I reused the stock foams in some proline ko2 and they work well in a smaller tire.

The included stock foams are horrible. Way too hard to let the tire do it's job even in my heavy 10.2. As soon as I put CI 4.75 lil novas in they became a different tire in only positive ways. Everyone in my group tried the stock foams, everyone hated them. They're going straight from the bag to the shit can now by the dozens. I wish they'd stop making people pay for those blocks of balsa wood. Those foams are like the green blocks they put flowers in to arrange them.

They get better with use...I refuse to spend money on foams unless it's a last resort. My scx deadbolt with curries is breaking them in nicely.

Got a chance to run my rock beasts last week with the 4.5 comp cut foams loved them worked really well on the slippery stuff we were running on. They clogged up with mud but still gripped well over roots and rocks I'm very impressed with them.

I'm pretty happy with the memory foams in mine for now, they're pretty soft and let the tires do their job.
I'll still be going to 4.75 lil novas in the future though

I almost wonder if I should have got the 4.75's I do plan to add some weight to the truck. They work good now but I'm hoping they don't go to soft with more weight on them.

My rig weighs over eight lbs so that's another reason I was thinking 4.75's would be the correct choice

Check out my rock beasts on CI comp cut 4.50" firm. The bead spun on the rim. Ran about 1/4 of the trail like this and it still gripped plenty.
