Default Suggestions on foams for tsl swamper xl

Any suggestions on what foams to use for proline super swamper xl? I used c.i foams but for some strange reason it feels like there a space on the sidewall. I'm using the 4.75 standard inner and soft outer. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If I remember DW single stage tall(6") and a set of tuning rings per pair(2 sets)
That's what Eddie told me and sold me, they work, but the rings are a tight fit !

BIG difference I'm a 2.2 guy.
Go to the CI website and send a message to Eddie. He will tell you what has worked the best, as a great starting spot.

They make a Deuces Wild specific to that tire. DW will have space between the foam and the tire itself, by design. Vent the tires: three 2mm holes in the center of the tread, NOT the sidewall.

DW is waterproof and work great on a bit heavier rig. If you want two stage foams (Lil' Nova), give Eddy a call with details on your rig, mainly weight and intended use, and he will recommend you the right set.

Yeah I emailed him and recommend something and also this tuning pads. I might go for the tuning pads and give that a try. I'm just not too comfortable with that gap in the sidewall.

There's a TON of people using the TSL XL tire with the Deuces Wild that was made for it with great success. You want some gap between the tire and closed-cell foam, it lets the tire do all the work and conform to the surface, the foam simply provides support.

I've never used tuning rings myself but I have used a smaller tire with foams that were a little big/didn't have any "gap" and they performed horribly for what it's worth. You're essentially relying on the stickiness of the rubber to provide all the traction at that point, not allowing it to conform.

Just my $0.02.

The gap is on the sidewall. I'm totally fine on where the rubber meets the ground. gap is width not height.

I understand. But if the foam is too tight to the sidewall, it doesn't allow the rubber to flex/wrinkle as much which can hurt performance. I definitely prefer the look of a firm sidewall myself and I'm sure it's not THAT different for performance, just wanted to share that most people have that gap, it isn't uncommon.

The tuning rings would be the only thing I'd use to fix that problem.

That's why I might just go try tuning rings. Thank you.
