Default Baking Wheel/Tire in Weber Grill vs House Oven

Gents,

Anyone tried baking the wheel/tire off in a propane grill? Just curious if that would work versus the smell of doing it inside the house.

Thanks,
Ken

Too hard to control temps in a bbq, I'd just buy a cheap toaster oven and use that.

yes, this the best and easiest method i have tried. toast for a few minutes and then the wheel pops out... CA is allergic to heat, it becomes dust.

boiling method is soo hard to do, you may need to repeat it several times and you need to wrestle with it to remove the tires which may damage (rips) if your not careful. also the CA is not complely removed from both tires and wheel.

Oven worked great and it didn't smell as bad as I thought it would.

I use a heat gun and a pair of gloves.

X2 on the heat gun, I had never done any tire removal and tried the heat gun on some Ascender tires and it worked great as long as you don’t want to save the wheels
