Default Need help picking heavier tires

Hey all, pretty new to the crawling game, just built a Traxxas TRX-4 Sport kit last week and took it crawling this weekend. I noticed that the truck is fairly top heavy, and my friends suggested I look into metal wheels.

I like how these look and the price seems fair - let me know if they're a good/bad choice: https://www.amainhobbies.com/ssd-rc-...d00280/p797674

The SSD wheels are solid. I bought some of their 2.2” wheels for my Rock Rey and they went together really well. Just make sure you loctite all the screws .

Generally the best way to add weight to a crawler is to add weight to the axle assemblies. Wheel weights add strain to the drivetrain, especially the axles and portal gears. Axle assembly weights give you the same low weight up front, but without that strain. Brass knuckles, beef tubes and/or c-hubs are where I would start.

Here's TRX-4 upgrade parts made of brass - avoid rotating weight, keep it low and don't go overboard - I prefer the SSD parts:
