Default tire size search? like tirerack?

wouldn't that be awesome...
anyone here have any HTML skills like that?
a list is great but it would be cool to just have a couple drop-down menus for
WHEEL SIZE v
TIRE DIAMETER v

options for compound maybe once you get into choices.

literally make it like a 1:1 tire website. not even for purchase, just to find what you need.

for example, i would like to see options for a 1.55 wheel and 4.19 OD.
as of right now the only option is to scoure multiple sites for different brands and look at 1.55 offerings, then click on each one for their individual OD.
tedious.

just a thought.

There's a little known fact that RC4WD already does this, but it's obviously for their tires only.

Tire Finder

There was also a tire size spreadsheet floating around here somewhere...

thanks!
yeah its a start but if somebody felt really generous here and had the time and skill, to make one for us (us being the rc community) that included all brands (maybe a note for older tires still floating around on ebay like clods)
and a spreadsheet is a good start. i think i have seen that here somewhere...

good to know I'm not crazy lol (well maybe i am but it doesn't rule out the occasional good idea)

NICE! that's the next best thing for sure. Thanks Frank!

*its crazy that RC4WD seems to be the only choice for class 1... oh and pitbull makes the growler. (on my sons barrage but they seem taller than 4.19?)
i could swear there is more now. proline hyrax 4.19 immediately comes to mind (since my son has them on his ascender and smaller OD than the growlers)

Yeah, that list is pretty out of date at this point. It is missing the 1.55 Rock Beasts, Braven Ironsides, 4.19 KLRs (in all flavors), 4.19 Hyrax, and all versions of the MT-Rs.

Basically all the best C1 tires aren't on that list.

Which is the problem with any tires finder. It is only going to be good if someone constantly updates the underlying database.

The other problem is unmounted and mounted dimensions seem to vary greatly based on wheel choice, foam choice, etc.

"Someone" would have to have deep pockets and a lot of free time to acquire all the mainstream brand offerings of wheels and tires and foams (oh, my), let alone the Chanquish selections, and infinite patience assembling and measuring them.

The only entity that would have that motivation would be a place that sells all the brands and sizes of RC tires, a RCtirerack or Discount RC tires direct....

RPP Hobbies sells practically everything, from 1.0" Micro tires to 1/5th scale...

Good point. Advertised height/outside diameters aren't even close to reality in a lot of cases.

search? type it in and you will find it. google does work.

if you type in RC+1.9+4.19+tire+crawler

this is what you get.
