Default Anyone looking for a 3 stage foam?

Team Ottsix 3 stage foams?

Wouldn't know why one would need a 3 stage foam?

Integy (bleargh...) of all companies has had 3-stage foams for ages, I even picked up a set cuz they're stupidly cheap ($4.99!) and they are barely better than Axial single stage.

Anybody here remember SNL's "Triple Trac" razor commercial parody/skit? That was the first thing I thought of.

Real talk though... I've got a couple pairs of wheels that have 3 pieces of foam in them, only to stiffen up an existing pair using what I already had on hand. More often than not, when I dismount them after long term use, the outer layer is all wadded up. It seems fine in the above situation, but given the choice, I'd rather just have 2 pieces in there, why complicate it?

Anybody in the market for some magic beans?

The inner is a firm middle? But I took my foam game to the next level when I started running CI.

in my opinion any foam in the tire is obsolite tire tubes now thats the way to go more tunable and never gets flat spots and when set up properly no tire bounce and amazing traction

I saw this on Facebook and I thought "Why?!" Two stage foams are enough of a PITA to get in the tires together and keeping them aligned. No thanks for 3 stages. It's completely unnecessary.

Makes me think of the old Trinity 3 stage inserts for buggy tires from the 90s.

Voodoo must have thought of them too because they chose the same colors. I wonder if they will also release the "optimally engineered adhesive" to glue the foams together like Trinity used to sell.

So they're copying Integy who copied ancient technology...

I get the idea of it being more progessive in rate than dual stage foams but I just can't really seeing it work in practice without a bunch of prep needed. For one they'll definitely all need glued together. Secondly if they get wet or damp then you don't have something like the closed cell inner to save the performance (or are we done venting tires now too?). I also wonder what will happen after a couple months when you have 3 slightly shrunken foams instead of just one, since all the open cells I've run seem to lose about 3-4mm in diameter after so long.

Triple stage works, when it's done with Crawler Innovations Closed Cell. We have been using triple #doubledeucefoams since last year and will be releasing them in the next month along with several other all new products. They make the VooDoo pins work amazing.

I've had the thought to use a trimmed down medium inner with a closed cell middle and soft outer for a while but never took the time to try it. The thought is to have more body to the foam once the soft outer compresses without being as solid as straight up closed cell in the middle as is.
