There's no "best". It all depends on your terrain.

I prefer the Pitbull 1.55 Rock Beast tires in Alien Kompound for the terrain near me.

1.55 pit bull berzerker is an excellent tire!

Agreed. Plenty of rubber to make contact with the rocks and decent compound. Foams are a little stiff for lighter rigs.

I like my Berserkers as well, but the tighter spacing doesn't do as well in dirt, mud and wet rocks as the more open spacing of the tires I mentioned.

Depends on how small you need. Been running 1.55 MTRs with good results. 3.5" tall.

Are those the original XORs?

These: https://pitbullrc.com/collections/1-...nd-w-foam-2pcs

I have the XOR's in 1.9 and they look stupid. I do not have the 1.55 XOR's because I believe those would also look stupid and they sure wouldn't fit under any of my 1.55 bodies.

I love the XORs on my Yeti, but I agree, that on a scale truck, they could definitely look out of place, but in certain terrain, they work extremely well, so I could see why you may want them, looks aside.

The 1.55s look a little less disproportionally wide than the 1.9s and 2.2s do. If they weren't $40/pair I would have given them a try on my Barrage rebuild that I'm doing.

I guess I should have been clearer. The XOR's work great and they look good on some rigs - just not full-bodied scale trucks IMO.

I currently have the 1.9 XOR's on a Sawback and I really like them there. And that's kind of a full-bodied scaler so I guess I'm eating some of my own words.

They're a great looking tire if you want that "monster truck" kind of look. I think that's why I think they look so great on my Yeti. I could see them having a similar appeal on a Sawback.

They're also a fair price for the 2.2s, which is another reason I didn't mind using them on my Yeti. $40/pair for 1.55s is insane.

I agree that Pitbull pricing has gotten insane. That's why I go to Proline first these days. Their tires are just as good and much less expensive. The problem is that Proline refuses to make 1.55's. That leaves you stuck choosing between Pitbull or RC4WD. I have RC4WD tires and I love the look, but I still think Pitbull rubber is better.

I ended up going with the RC4WD MT/Rs for my Barrage because there was no way I was coughing up $80 for 4 1.55 tires. I would have preferred the Pitbulls, but $80 for toy truck tires, especially that small, is not happening.

I really miss Pitbull's occasional 50% off sales. It was the only time their tires were worth the money.

I get in my moods. Sometimes I don't care about spending so much and then other times I go elsewhere because of the principle.

I miss those sales as well. I was looking for one over Black Friday. Like you said, it's the only time the Pitbull tires are reasonably price.

I agree!

I was hoping they would surprise us with another sale this year!

X2, the Berserkers in 1.55 work great on my TF2 but tread is a little tight for loose dirt. Very scale looking though.

Great looking tires with more open spacing, again depends on terrain, OP said for rocks.
