Default Foam suggestions?

I have a mostly stock TRX4 sport(low cog battery tray and shock towers). It weighs 6.9 lbs(possibly with some water in my stock foams) with the battery, ready to go and the weight distribution is near 50:50.

I was almost purely rock crawling, although now i am driving in a river flood area that has lots of down’d logs, stream crossings, mud, river rocks, etc.

I need new foams since i have soaked the stockers a few times and they seem to be flat. I’ll probably also grab some aluminum wheel, most likely SSD. Does anyone have a recommendation for foams on this truck?

Just bought a set of SSD wheels myself and so far they were the easiest beadlocks to mount Proline tires to. I had a set of RC4WD rims and the Prolines would constantly pop a bead on more than one tire.

I have started to use the Proline dual stage foam and it works great. Rig has great support but still soft enough to conform around rocks etc....

You cannot go wrong with SSD and Proline for your wheel / foam setup IMO.

You should also check Crawler Innovations for tire foams. I have both CI & Pro-Line foams...for two vehicles (a Capra, and a Trail King), the CI foams are better, and for the other two (another Capra, and a Baja Rey), the Pro-Line foams are better.

Yeah, i have a set of SSD 2.2” wheels for my rock rey with proline foams and Hyrax. Wasnt sure if i should go with something softer due to how light the truck is.

I’ve started running the crawler innovations foams, but only the dense. I get them a little smaller than the tire and leave a little air gap and it’s working really well for me
