I also say to get the Moab XL's. They are the best choice for a super class crawler. It also depends if you want to run in comps or not. Or you could get Jumbo Kongs, I'm getting these for my next super. There are many different opinoins on here as to what tire to run. But the most common tire would defenetly be the Moab XL.

Buy tires for your terrain but if I had to choose a tire.
I'd run Giant Trac's.

Any questions?!

Proline Moab XL's, Probably the best all-around tire to use IMO.

If you run on flat-ish rock that doesn't require as much clearance, go for Giant Tracs. If you run on large smooth boulders, go for the Moab XLs. If you run on wet, sandstone type rocks, then go for Red Rocks.

I recommend Masher 40 series. I feel it is a better all-around tire than the Moab, for the same reasons the M2K's have proven to be better all-around than a Moab.

Another really good tire for these trucks that doesnt get a lot of credit it seems are the Losi Zombie Maxx tires.. They are incredibly sticky and soft compound... They form to everything and grip just as well! Check em out and give them a try!

I would go with Moab xl's aswell aswell. Me and my dad both have super class truck's. He run's Moab xl's on his torsion 17'' truck and I run Moab tyres or Masher 2000 on my 18'' TCS Stick and most of the time the Maob xl's out do the Moab's But I have noticed that the sidewall on the Moab xl's side wall fold over a couple of time's on side hils and with the size of the tyres the tyre pops of the wheel.

I may be getting some moab xl's this saturday for my birthday

Regards

james

That looks like a great combo. It seems like the thorns are discoed. Does anyone know of a place where I can get thorn wheels and MOAB XL's? (one stop shopping)

If not what's the next best wheel... preferably in black or dark grey? Will the xl's fit on any 40 series rim?

Thanks,
Mike

They were made by ProLine years ago, but have been long since discontinued. If you find a set, snatch them up. Some think they are too short, but they are a great tire.
