I just noticed on www.Pro-lineracing.com that they have moabs for 1:8 buggy's. and the tread looks slightly better to me than the 40 series moabs since they modifiied the center lugs. Anyways does anyone know what rims size this fit? They look narrower than the 40's but again I can find any dimension for them......

They are 1/8 buggy tires. They are only like 4.5" x 1.5" with a very low profile sidewall. They would be good for a TLT (a few people run buggy tires), but not for bigger crawlers.

They should be around 5" tall-slightly shorter than a Masher2K and around half as wide. I bought a set off Gimbal-then built two more sets of rims (all sold now). The 1:8 scale buggy rims run off a 19mm hex so you have to come up with some type of adapter or build custom wheels.

If they are the M-2 compound they might be O.K.

i dont know what size of rim those tires use but here is what i used to make my (tractor tires) extremely narrowed big joes,

how i did the rim was=== the the black indicates where i cut the rin in half, and the red is where i cut off the back bead to the rim . then i cut the bead and slid it back on the left half of the rim and glued it back on the rim with CA glue. it worked out great!!!

here is the finished product, i am now running my uncut 40's moabs on these rims and i love them!

I think those Buggy Moabs would rock on a TLT. Check out those built in bonus "rock rings"

I've had the same idea about using buggy tires. I thought about getting some buggy dish wheels and cutting a hole in the center, with a hole saw. I would then glue a 2.2 wheel to the inside. You could have the 2.2 hex and the buggy wheel bead. The buggy wheel over the 2.2 would look like a bead lock too. Maybe tis would work or maybe someone has already done it.
