| 40's Mashers?
Alright I know a few of you still have these around. How tall are they really. Tower Hobbies as them listed as 6in Tall. But Are they right at 6in tall. Or are they a hair shorter or Taller? Anyone have a picture of them beside a Tape Measure?

I've narrowed all my 40 series wheels to 2". For both the Mashers and the MOAB XL's. Seems to be what was recommended by Dezfan, and Dirk might have chimed in his $.02 |

i ran the mashers for a while. if you look at the sidewall it says 6.6x3.75", ppffftt. yeah in proline's wildest dreams. honestly, even if you narrow the wheels, it may make the tires look taller but in reality they are not. i had my axial wheel narrowed to a little less than 2 1/4" wide and compared them to an unmounted tire and there was really no noticable difference in height, if there was then it was very small. also by the time you put them on a truck and the weight sinks in they should be the same height. the foams should keep it that way. also i ran the mashers on some un-narrowed outbacks and also have ran then on 2" wide velocity wheels and also on 2 1/4" wide axials and really couldnt tell a difference in the way they performed. others may say differently |

He was asking so he could make 2.2 tires. 2.2 tires must remain 6" or less while uncompressed. | |
