I received my set or 2.2 Lizards last week but until today have not had the chance to get em mounted to my test beadlocks. I cut the stock foams the same way I did for the mashers and Moabs. 1/4" full height band at each outside edge and hollowed out in the middle First impressions. THESE PUPPIES STINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I received them I took the tires out of the packages and let them air out, in the garage for a week before bringing them inside. Mounting on the RC4WD beadlocks where much easier than the Moabs the center bead was much more consistant. and tighter. I used the stock foams which are a tad shorter and about 1/2" wider than the actual tire. Doing this the tire on the narrow beadlocks ends up about 1/4" taller than my moabs and a bit stiffer sidewall. Initial driving inmpressions: These tires ROCK! testing on my usual rock pile I am able to take lines that I could not do before with the Moabs or Mashers. It appears the key to these tires is very slow tire speed. Soft dirt, good to average traction hardpack dirt better than average traction smooth rock above average traction volcanic rock Far above average Tomorrow is a comp and we will see how well they work on many different terrains as it stands now I feel this tire is an 8.5 on a scale of 10. The mashers a 7.5 and the Moabs an 8.0 |
