| Suggest 2.2 tires for moss/soil/rock
What tires would you suggest for driving on rocks covered with moss and soil that would also have a grip on bare rock? At the moment I have Moabs, but after driving a couple months on the platform described above, I believe their treads are too shallow to have any grip. I was thinking of Masher 2k's, but do they have any deeper treads? At least the treads in Mashers are farther away from each other, which could let the moss / soil get in easier. How about Rock Lizards? Any other suggestions? What do you say? |

I would go with Mashers only because I've not personally run the Rock Lizards yet. They really are a great tire for general use plus they work very well on rocks.

M2k's work really good in wet or dry dirt and wet rocks. I've never specifically driven on moss but I think they would work well on that as well. I don't have enough time on my Lizards to say if they work any better than the M2ks. I'm sure others will chime in though. |

M2K's here in foothills of PA we have alot of mossy rocks, mud and whatnot. Personnally I think the mashers outshine others in those situations. I have rock lizzards, and like moabs they don't like wet, muddy rocks.

I run Moabs, but mostly in dry conditions, from what I've heard, Mashers are probably your best bet for your needs.

Thanks for the comments. I'll order the Masher 2k's then . I'll post comments here after I have tested them. Edit: Just ordered Masher 2k's from RCP. The exchange rate from € to US dollar was quite nice : 1€ = $1.34768US (from PayPal). Hope they arrive soon . Last edited by tomik; 07-20-2007 at 04:19 PM. |
