Default Foam Cutting Questions

I just picked up a set of Rock Claws and a set of M3 M2Ks and I'm going to use them on my stretched WK with Axial Beadlocks. Any Suggestion on how to cut the stock foams and maybe even what works well for wheel weight

Most star cut the foam.
I'd mount the tires unglued give them a test run to see
how they perform then adjust from there.

The new tire compound is softer and sticky and may not
need foams cut. Just my 2 pennies.

x2 on star cut. Some cut a channel down the center which also seems to work well.

How do you guys recommend cutting the stars, would an X-Acto saw work?

x-acto saw would probably work, if you decide to go with star cuts. If you can find a way to afford it, the Kreepy Squishy inserts are worth every penny. If not, personal opinion is that you are better off with a channel cut rather than a star, becasue the star makes the foam break down faster, and causes a big loss in sidewall stability.

Funny you mention the memory foam, I was at the local Wal-Mart and spotted some of those 1.5" thick memory foam matress pads. I've been thinking about getting the ones that are the next size wider than my current matress and making the exess into foams for this truck!

Tried the Rock Claws tires over the past couple afternoons, only so-so in mud (probably will do M2Ks or stockers with WD40 on them if I run there again), but on rocks WOW!
